The mission of the Department of Molecular Physiology is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of diabetes and its complications from the viewpoint of endoplasmic reticulum stress by trans-omics approaches. The long-term goal is to identify new diabetes drugs that resolve endoplasmic reticulum stress or control endoplasmic reticulum stress response.
